Babble.net
Babble.net were a UK based SIP telephony company, often touted as the British Skype they operated commercially for many years. However like many VoIP companies they were unable to fully maximize their revenue stream.
I was the sole developer for almost 2 years and among a number of smaller sites I built the entire Babble main site. This was built on a custom PHP framework and was both for attracting new customers and as a portal for users to manage calling credit.
I built a fully functional eCommerce shop for users to purchase a variety of items such as tangible products (e.g. USB phones), digital products (e.g. ringtones, calling credit), and subscription products (e.g. 1 month free calls). The eCommerce shop was integrated with the DataCash payment API including full Verified by Visa support.
My final project with Babble was the creation of the reseller API, this PHP driven REST based API was intended to offer any one to integrate the VoIP functionality into their own websites. Included in this project was a multi user level administration system.
