About Me
London based PHP Web Developer, with 5 years professional experience building both customer facing dynamic websites and internal CMS/administration systems. I am a full end to end developer happy either up to my elbows in PHP objects and SQL databases or converting a Photoshop site design to W3C compliant HTML and CSS.
I have been building websites for over 10 years from my humble beginnings building Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sliders fan sites (I think they may be still online somewhere but have conveniently forgot the URLs). I first introducing myself to advanced HTML through a company website for my Young Enterprise company, a personal photo sharing website during my first years at university and the occasional freelance HTML work.
During my final year of university I reached the natural point that many HTML developers reach "I want it to do something more" so I delved into PHP and MySQL. A short while later I had a small eCommerce system that eventually grew into the basis for my dissertation. I was hooked, my appreciation for PHP and the opportunities it presented me with led me to the decision "This is what I want to do for a job".
Fast forward 6 years with a lot of learning and development under my belt, I have worked in small companies, large companies, as a sole developer, in structured teams, in remote teams. I have never lost that desire to learn or move forward in my understanding of the internet and am always the first to propose new ideas/embrace new technologies. I am a fast learner and I often go from a complete novice to an expert in a short time.
